Comparison
Botox vs brow lift: which one for raising the brows?
For drooping brows there are two different routes: a 'chemical brow lift' with Botox and a surgical brow lift. One is temporary and light, the other lasting and stronger; the choice depends on the degree of drooping.
Which one suits you?
For mild cases and as a non-surgical start, Botox is suitable; with noticeable drooping and excess skin, a brow lift gives a longer-lasting result. If the eyelid is also involved, blepharoplasty can be added. The decision is made after an examination.
| Botox | Brow lift | |
|---|---|---|
| Type | Non-surgical (injection) | Surgical |
| Strength of effect | Light, slightly raises the brow tail | Structural, noticeable lift |
| Longevity | Temporary (months) | Lasting |

| Recovery | Almost none | Has a recovery period |
| Ideal candidate | Mild drooping, muscle tension | Noticeable drooping + excess skin |
